DOOM: The Dark Ages Update 2 has been released, bringing with it some exciting new content, bug fixes, and quality of life improvements.

The Ripatorium, a new endless arena mode, challenges players to battle through customizable waves and race against the clock. With three arenas available within the Ripatorium, players have great control over the types of enemies they’ll face and the overall encounter. Rewards await those who complete all three arenas, including the QuakeCon skin for players who participated in DOOM: The Dark Ages by September 1st, and the Perfection skin for those who conquer all three arenas.

Aside from these additions, the update includes various tweaks and adjustments throughout the game. Some notable changes include a new Max Life Sigils difficulty slider, a slider for parry and melee slow motion, and a new weapon class switch style option. Numerous bug fixes have also been implemented to enhance the overall gameplay experience.

DOOM: The Dark Ages offers a thrilling and engaging shooter experience, with unique set-pieces and methodical combat that sets it apart from DOOM Eternal. While it may not shine as brightly as its predecessor, it still delivers a fun and flashy ride from start to finish.

Difficulty Settings

  • Added a new difficulty slider for Max Life Sigils to customize Life Sigil capacity
  • Introduced a new difficulty slider for Atlan Perfect Dodge Window to adjust the Perfect Dodge window duration

Life Sigil

  • Updated Life Sigil activation flow timing for a smoother experience
  • Added information on the enemy type that delivered the killing blow on the Life Sigil activation screen
  • Enhanced sounds for Life Sigil activation and killing blow reception

Additional Game Settings

  • Introduced a new gameplay slider for Parry & Melee Slow Motion
  • Added a Game Setting for “Weapon Class Switch Style” with options for standard behavior or double tap

These updates and improvements aim to provide players with a more polished and enjoyable gaming experience in DOOM: The Dark Ages.
