Remember to keep your hands on the wheel as we navigate through this. I may not have the aux cable at the moment, but it’s imperative that you keep it out of my reach. Why, you ask? Well, Nintendo is introducing a new Nintendo Music app, allowing you to listen to an hour-long version of the theme from the DS classic Nintendogs.

Yes, this is indeed happening. Considering that the company responsible for Mario has recently ventured into the alarm clock market with Alarmo, this progression seems somewhat logical. Instead of focusing on a Switch 2, Nintendo is expanding its reach into various aspects of our lives.

Once you have downloaded the app on your smartphone, whether you are an iOS or Android user, Nintendo Music allows you to enjoy a wide range of songs from Nintendo games. You will need a Nintendo Switch Online subscription to access the app, but once you have it, you can explore curated playlists by Nintendo, create your own, or simply enjoy the randomness of switching between different game themes.

You even have the option to extend a track, such as the Nintendogs theme, to play for 15 minutes, 30 minutes, or a full hour. I’ll definitely be choosing the latter if you decide to hand me the aux cable.

Which Nintendo classics have already been added to the app? Nintendo highlights titles such as Pikmin 4, Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, Splatoon 3, and many more. There are also some retro and obscure inclusions, as seen in the accompanying slideshow (where I discovered Nintendogs).

Which Nintendo masterpiece will you be playing on the Nintendo Music app until your friends decide to throw your phone out the window? Share your thoughts below.
