Developer Path Games recently unveiled their upcoming game titled Dark Mass. This new first-person horror game, following in the footsteps of their previous title Insomnis, takes players to a mysterious underwater manor in the depths of the sea. The trailer teases the eerie atmosphere and chilling gameplay that players can expect in this unique setting.
In Dark Mass, players step into the shoes of deep-sea explorer Alice, who embarks on a journey with her brother Reed to explore a sunken ship. Instead, they stumble upon the peculiar manor resting on the sea floor, still holding onto its enigmatic past. As Alice becomes ensnared within the manor, she must unravel its secrets, solve its puzzles, and evade the lurking horrors, including the menacing monster Silas. Throughout the game, Alice stays connected with Reed via a walkie talkie, adding a layer of tension and suspense to the narrative. The underwater currents also play a role in the gameplay, affecting Alice’s movement and adding to the immersive experience. With multiple choices and branching paths, players can expect different endings based on their decisions.
While an official release date for Dark Mass is yet to be announced, fans can anticipate its arrival sometime this year.
