Supermassive Games has unveiled the latest addition to The Dark Pictures Anthology, titled Directive 8020. This time, players will be taken on a journey into space filled with body horror. Watch the trailer below for a sneak peek.
After four games, the format of The Dark Pictures Anthology was starting to feel a bit tired. It’s refreshing to see that Supermassive Games is shaking things up with this new release. According to the developers, Directive 8020 will feature real-time threats, stealth gameplay mechanics, and interactive cinematics powered by Unreal Engine 5.
The game will also star Hollywood actress Lashana Lynch, known for her roles in Bob Marley: One Love and The Woman King. Here’s a glimpse of the storyline:
“Earth is on the brink of collapse, and humanity is running out of time. When the colony ship Cassiopeia crash lands on the planet Tau Ceti f, its crew discovers that they are not alone.”
