‘Cyberpunk 2077’ is Officially Coming to VR Soon as a Co-op Location-based Experience

CD Projekt Red Teams Up with Zero Latency VR to Bring Cyberpunk 2077 to Out-of-Home VR Destinations

CD Projekt Red has announced a collaboration with Zero Latency VR to bring the immersive world of Cyberpunk 2077 to out-of-home VR locations. Zero Latency VR is known for its untethered, free-roam technology, and the upcoming experience based on Cyberpunk 2077 will be tailored specifically for this innovative platform.

The co-op experience will soon be available at Zero Latency VR locations worldwide, with over 140 venues in 30 countries currently in operation. While the release date is still pending, the studios promise to reveal more details about the experience in the near future.

The trailer showcases exciting gameplay elements such as running, gunning, and team-based missions. This marks a unique opportunity for fans to explore Night City together, as multiplayer capabilities are not currently available in Cyberpunk 2077. Zero Latency VR promises a self-contained experience that captures the essence and style of Night City beyond traditional screen-based gameplay.

Recently, VR modder Luke Ross faced controversy after his R.E.A.L. VR mod suite was temporarily removed following a DMCA takedown from CD Projekt. While the mod suite has been reinstated for free, support for Cyberpunk 2077 and other potentially contentious games remains limited.
