Exciting news for longtime Nintendo fans! The Nintendo Switch 2 will be getting Classic GameCube games through an expansion pack for the Nintendo Switch Online service. The lineup will start with The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker, Soul Calibur 2, and F-Zero GX.
Multiplayer games on the Switch 2 will have online functionality, allowing players to enjoy them with others worldwide. These games will also receive visual enhancements and higher resolutions for an improved gaming experience.
More titles will be added to the Switch 2 in the future as part of the expansion to the Switch Online service, including Super Mario Sunshine, Fire Emblem Path of Radiance, Pokemon XD Gale of Darkness, Super Mario Strikers, Chibi Robo, Luigi’s Mansion, and Pokemon Colosseum.
The initial three games announced today (The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker, Soul Calibur 2, and F-Zero GX) will be available on the Switch 2 at launch on June 5. As for the new GameCube controller, it will be accessible to Nintendo Switch Online Members.
