Deadline first reported news of the project in April 2024, with the official announcement from the creators following in August of the same year.
The British version of The Traitors has been a massive success, garnering numerous awards and breaking ratings records in recent years.
While the first three seasons of the British edition featured regular civilians, the American version has already introduced celebrities alongside non-famous contestants. Seasons 2 and 3 of the American version exclusively featured celebrities.
