Ace Attorney fans, rejoice! Capcom has confirmed that there will be more games in the beloved series in the future.
Despite the popularity of the Ace Attorney franchise, there hasn’t been a completely new game since The Great Ace Attorney 2: Resolve in 2017. While fans have been treated to collections of older titles, many have been eagerly awaiting a new installment. Capcom’s Kenichi Hashimoto recently spoke about the future of the series, reassuring fans that there is more to come.
Hashimoto confirmed that fan support, including merchandise sales, plays a significant role in the development of new games. While sales from merchandise may not directly fund game development, they are an important indicator of the series’ popularity and influence future plans.
When asked about the future of the series, Hashimoto stated, “The Ace Attorney series won’t stop producing content. We definitely have a lot of directions we want to further grow in, including mixed media.”
As fans eagerly await news of a new game, Hashimoto hinted at potential mixed media projects in the works. While the focus is on creating new content, merchandise sales continue to be a key factor in shaping the series’ future.
