Bungie Announces Marathon Gameplay Reveal Date
Bungie has revealed that the highly anticipated Marathon gameplay reveal will be happening on the 12th of April. This exciting news comes after fans successfully completed an ARG (Alternate Reality Game) to uncover the date of the reveal. The stakes were high, but they managed to pull it off just in time!
The livestream is scheduled for 6PM UK time / 7PM CEST / 1PM ET / 10AM PT. Viewers can expect to see Bungie’s developers showcase the Marathon gameplay, along with sharing exciting news and updates about the game. To give fans a taste of what’s to come, a teaser trailer featuring a pink robot cat has been released.
Marathon marks Bungie’s first new project since Destiny. The game is described as a PvPvE team-based extraction shooter set on the planet of Tau Ceti IV. Players will take on the roles of cybernetic mercenaries known as Runners, navigating the harsh environment of the abandoned colony in search of valuable loot, including new weapons and gear.
Drawing inspiration from Bungie’s 1994 FPS game of the same name, Marathon offers a fresh take on the sci-fi shooter genre. While the original Marathon games had a rich narrative involving alien races and AI sentience, the new iteration focuses on player-driven stories within a dynamic, evolving game world.
