Japanese developer Ankake Spa has recently unveiled a new remastered version of their 2011 bullet hell game Youyou Kengeki Musou, titled Touhou: Blossom Blade.
Touhou: Blossom Blade is currently in development for Windows PC through Steam, although an exact release date has not been disclosed.

Plot
As the gardener, security personnel, and swordsmanship instructor for Saigyouji Yuyuko, the mistress of Hakugyokurou, Konpaku Youmu finds herself challenged when her mistress questions her skills during a training session. Yuyuko tasks Youmu with proving her worth by defeating Hakurei Reimu, the shrine maiden renowned for resolving incidents in Gensokyo. Reluctantly accepting the challenge, Youmu sets off on a journey to Gensokyo. Will she overcome the perils ahead, vanquish Reimu, and demonstrate her abilities to Yuyuko?

- Utilize Three Skills for Stage Clearing and Boss Confrontations – Youmu possesses three distinct skills, each with its unique advantages – mobility, area-of-effect damage, range attacks, and a potent Spell Card for high damage output. Mastering these skills is crucial for progressing through stages successfully! For instance, your dash skill can extend your jumping distance and deal damage, while your ranged skill is effective against foes positioned across gaps.
- Build Combos to Gain the Upper Hand – Sustained attacks on enemies increase your combo count, granting score bonuses and accelerating skill recharge rates. This bonus enables you to use your skills more frequently, simplifying battles.
- Adjustable Difficulty Levels – Choose between Easy, Hard, or Normal modes based on your skill level.
- Immersive Soundtrack – Enjoy Touhou arranges by Shoichiro Sakamoto, also known as Sound Sepher, enhancing the atmosphere of the stages.
Enhancements in the Steam Version
