Black Ops 7 release date spotted in the wilds ahead of Call of Duty’s latest Gamescom blowout

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 has had its release date trailer leaked ahead of a possible Gamescom Opening Night Live showing. The game is set to launch on November 14th, just a month after the release of Battlefield 6 on October 10th. Excitingly, it seems that Black Ops 7 will feature jet packs and mechs, adding a new dimension to the gameplay.

The leak originated from a video advertisement that was accidentally published early but has since been removed. According to CharlieIntel, Black Ops 7 will not include jet packs or double jumps as part of its movement system, a departure from previous titles in the series. Instead, the game will focus on the ‘omnimovement’ introduced in Black Ops 6.

Black Ops 7 will require secure boot to prevent cheating and will offer the traditional co-op, zombies, and competitive multiplayer modes. The campaign is set in 2035, incorporating elements from previous Black Ops games and introducing new challenges for protagonist David Mason to overcome. Expect a mix of gadgets, gunplay, and psychological twists in the storyline.

Recent leaks have also hinted at the pricing for Black Ops 7, with the Standard Edition expected to be priced at $70 or €80, and a Vault Edition available for $100 or €110. This pricing strategy aligns with industry trends, with Microsoft yet to raise the base price of games to $80 as seen in previous attempts.
