Bigscreen Beyond 2 Outsells Original in First Day, Surpassing Months of Beyond 1 Sales

Bigscreen has officially launched orders for its highly anticipated Beyond 2 PC VR headset, boasting improved field-of-view and clarity thanks to the innovative pancake lens design. Within just 10 hours of going live, Beyond 2 has already surpassed the sales of the original Beyond headset by a significant margin.

In a series of updates on X, Bigscreen shared the impressive sales performance of Beyond 2 among PC VR enthusiasts.

“In the first 25 minutes alone, Beyond 2 outsold the entire first day of Beyond 1 sales. Within the first hour, we saw a doubling of Beyond 1 launch day sales,” Bigscreen announced early yesterday.

As the day progressed, more sales data on Beyond 2 and its eye-tracking variant, Beyond 2e, was revealed. The most recent statistic is particularly noteworthy.

“Within just 10 hours of launch, Beyond 2 has exceeded the sales of the first four months of Beyond 1,” the company reported.

As of the time of this writing, Beyond 2 and Beyond 2e are now scheduled to ship in June 2025, surpassing the initial shipment dates set for April and May respectively.

What is driving the excitement for Beyond 2? While more details about Beyond 2 can be found here, the appeal may lie in the seamless upgrade path offered by Bigscreen. Beyond 1 users can purchase the new headsets at a discounted price—$849 for Beyond 2 and $1049 for Beyond 2e—and enjoy backward compatibility with most Beyond 1 accessories, including the custom facial interface required for Beyond 1.

Beyond 2 features a new pancake lens design, providing a wider 116-degree diagonal FOV, an adjustable IPD mechanism, and a lighter 107g design. The 2e model includes AI-powered eye-tracking. Both models retain the dual 1-inch 2,560 × 2,560 micro-OLED displays of the original Beyond, but with improved clarity and FOV thanks to the new lenses.

Beyond 2 and 2e are priced at $1,019 and $1,219 respectively (with discounts for Beyond 1 owners). The launch also introduced a new halo-style mount and Lightblocker facial interface, set to be released in Q3 2025.

All these products are now available for purchase on the Bigscreen website.
