Each area of the Hisui region offers its own expansive open-world experience, ranging from picturesque hills and verdant fields to murky swamps and fiery volcanic islands, ensuring a diverse and captivating gameplay environment. However, some players may find the graphics lacking in refinement, with occasional pixelation and rough textures on certain Pokémon and environments.
Despite these minor graphical issues, Pokémon Legends: Arceus delivers a fresh and engaging narrative, packed with adventure and challenging battles that keep players immersed in the game. In comparison to the latest main series titles, Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, Arceus stands out for its innovative gameplay and polished execution.
While Scarlet and Violet offer a more traditional Pokémon experience with a truly open world and multiple storylines to explore, the overall gameplay is hindered by numerous bugs and a sense of incompleteness. With more development time and attention to detail, the Gen 9 series could have been a standout title in the franchise.
