Warner Bros. Japan Announces New Characters and Cast for “Batman Ninja vs. Yakuza League”
Warner Bros. Japan has unveiled a new visual and announced additional cast members for the upcoming animated film Batman Ninja vs. Yakuza League, introducing new characters and confirming the return of Joker and Harley Quinn.
Wataru Takagi and Rie Kugimiya will be reprising their roles as The Joker and Harley Quinn, respectively.
The film will be featured in the “Bats in Translation” panel at New York Comic-Con 2024 on October 17th at 3 PM Eastern.
Both actors shared their excitement about returning to their iconic roles:
Wataru Takagi – The Joker
“The previous work ‘Batman Ninja’ was released in 2018, so it’s already been 6 years since then. Time flies. I was given the great role of The Joker, and had a lot of fun rampaging around. I can still vividly recall that painful mortal combat with Batman. I miss him…I miss Batman…and what? ‘Batman Ninja’ is coming back?! Against Yakuza League?! Okay, I’m going there now. Enjoy the dynamics, music, and animation of ‘Batman Ninja’ to the fullest.”
Rie Kugimiya – Harley Quinn
“My name is Rie Kugimiya and I continue to voice the role of Harley Quinn for the sequel ‘Batman Ninja vs. Yakuza League.’ I’m sure you are all excited by the title of this series, and feeling the sense of fun that awaits! I hope this work will exceed your expectations! I have also been given the opportunity to freely and spontaneously play the role of Harley Quinn! Enjoy the show!!”
