ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) has recently unveiled the new ROG Ally X handheld gaming console, designed to elevate the Windows 11 gaming experience. Boasting upgraded hardware components such as an AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme processor, 1 TB SSD storage, 24 GB DDR5-7500 RAM, and an 80Wh battery, the ROG Ally X surpasses its predecessor in performance.
The ROG Ally X showcases improved ergonomics with a redesigned black chassis, enhanced grips, and optimized button and joystick placement. The joysticks are now more durable with a lifespan of 5 million cycles, while the D-Pad supports precise 8-directional input.
Enhancing connectivity, the device features two USB Type-C ports, one of which is Thunderbolt-compatible, replacing the XG Mobile port for better compatibility with third-party docks and external GPUs. Thermal enhancements include smaller fans with thinner blades, improved airflow tunnels, and an additional exhaust vent, resulting in a 24% increase in air volume and up to 6°C cooling of the touchscreen.
