Publisher 505 Games and developer KUNOS Simulazioni have unveiled a new keynote overview video for Assetto Corsa EVO, the latest installment in their acclaimed car racing simulation series.
According to KUNOS Simulazioni co-founder Marco Massarutto, “Assetto Corsa EVO is a tribute to the automotive world and the passion for driving. Our ‘open world’ concept allows players to fully experience each car, whether on tracks or public roads, and savor the joy of driving.” He emphasized the importance of realism and accuracy in the game, ensuring an authentic driving simulation experience for the community.
While introducing the innovative Open World feature, Massarutto reassured players that traditional gameplay modes will still be available alongside this new addition, enriching the overall experience for players seeking maximum realism.
The keynote video delves into the details of the Open World aspect, new features, and content in Assetto Corsa EVO, teasing upcoming developments and enhancements in the game. One of the highlights is the introduction of an open world map based on the iconic Eifel region in Germany, surrounding the renowned Nürburgring motorsports complex.
The open-world map, set for release during the Early Access period in summer 2025, will be expanded gradually to provide continuous updates and new content, showcasing advanced technology for unprecedented accuracy and realism.
Players can expect a high level of interaction within the open-world area, including opportunities to engage with local businesses, rent cars, and upgrade vehicles with aftermarket parts from various workshops and centers in the region.
Key features highlighted by Marco Massarutto in the keynote include dynamic weather and track conditions, detailed circuits through laser scanning technology, enhanced physics for a more authentic racing experience, and a comprehensive game content roadmap for the Early Access release in January and beyond.
Assetto Corsa EVO is scheduled to launch in early access for Windows PC via Steam on January 16th, 2025, promising a thrilling and immersive racing simulation experience for players.
