Apple releases iOS 26.2 public beta 2, here’s what’s new

AirDrop codes

Apple has been working on a new AirDrop feature that allows users to share files between devices without the need to save contacts for up to 30 days. iOS 26.2 is the first version to showcase early signs of this feature in the AirDrop settings.

Liquid Glass Level

In the previous week, Apple introduced a brand new Liquid Glass-inspired design within the Measure app in iOS 26.2. The beta version now features a refined design to ensure clear visibility of numbers in certain scenarios.

iPadOS Split View and Slide Over

After reintroducing Slide Over in iPadOS 26.1, Apple is enhancing another multitasking feature that was left behind in iOS 18. With iPadOS 26.2, users can now drag an app icon from the Dock to enter Slide Over or Split View mode during multitasking.
