Apple releases iOS 26.1 beta 4 for iPhone [Update: Public beta]

iOS 26.1 Beta 4 Released for Testing

iOS 26.1 marks a significant update to Apple’s operating system, with the fourth developer beta now available for testing. The public beta version of iOS 26.1 has also been released.

Expected to be released to the public by the end of October or early November, iOS 26.1 brings several changes to the iOS 26 platform.

Key updates include expanded language support for Apple Intelligence and compatibility with AirPods Live Translation.

Apple Intelligence now supports Chinese (traditional), Danish, Dutch, Norwegian, Portuguese, Swedish, Turkish, and Vietnamese.

AirPods Live Translation adds support for Chinese (Mandarin simplified and traditional), Italian, Japanese, and Korean.

Additionally, Apple is rebranding its streaming service to Apple TV and introducing a new icon for the Apple TV app.

Other features in iOS 26.1 include improvements to alarms dismissal, swipe gestures for changing songs in the Music app, and more.

Notably, the latest release includes a toggle for adjusting Liquid Glass transparency.
