In mid-October, Apple quietly rebranded Apple TV+, announcing that it is now simply called Apple TV with a new vibrant identity. This rebranding coincided with the streaming debut of F1: The Movie. Apple has now updated its logos and officially announced the rebrand through a new video on YouTube.
As part of the rebranding, Apple has updated the Apple TV+ page on its website, replacing all references to the streaming service with just “Apple TV” without the plus sign. Additionally, a short YouTube video promoting the change has been released, featuring a rainbow-hued Apple TV logo and a startup sound composed by Finneas. The video is titled “This is just the beginning.” Finneas also shared the video on Instagram, expressing his honor in creating the sound that aligns with his admiration for Apple.
David Taylor, Apple’s Head of Music, praised Finneas for providing a unique sound that adds a cinematic and magical touch to Apple’s streaming service. According to Finneas, the new sound will be played before every Apple original TV show and film on Apple TV.
Apple has also introduced different versions of the sound, including a five-second intro for TV shows, a one-second sting for movie trailers, and a longer 12-second version for films screened in theaters. The extended 12-second version is available on YouTube.
Finneas’ partnership with Apple is deeply personal, starting from his teenage years when he began producing music with Logic Pro. The rebranding to Apple TV is gradually being rolled out, with updates available in the Apple TV app and other Apple devices.
The Apple One Logo Gets a New Look
Alongside the Apple TV rebrand, Apple has also updated the Apple One logo. The new logo features an Apple icon divided into six sections, each representing a service included in the Apple One Premium bundle.
Apple One offers bundled subscription services at a discounted price, providing monthly savings depending on the tier chosen. The service is available in three tiers: Individual, Family, and Premier, catering to different storage and service needs.
