Apple Intelligence Comes to Pages, Numbers, and Keynote – iDrop News

Apple Intelligence Writing Tools in Pages iPhone

Apple has recently released updates for iOS 18.2, iPadOS 18.2, and macOS 15.2, bringing new features to its iWork suite of productivity apps. The latest additions include support for Writing Tools, Image Playground, and ChatGPT integration. Writing Tools, which were previously available as a system-wide function, are now more prominently featured in the iWork apps with a new option on the toolbar.

The updates also expand the capabilities of Writing Tools, allowing for more sophisticated text rewriting by describing tone changes to Apple’s AI and using ChatGPT to compose blocks of text or stories from scratch. ChatGPT is only activated when explicitly called up in the Compose section, and all requests are processed on-device as much as possible before being securely sent to Apple’s Private Cloud Compute infrastructure.

In terms of privacy, Apple ensures that ChatGPT features are as anonymous as possible, with no personal information being sent unless you are signed into a ChatGPT account. Siri integration with Pages, Numbers, and Keynote allows users to ask questions about the contents of their documents, with the option to send a screenshot or full content to ChatGPT for analysis.

Another new integration is support for Image Playground, which allows users to generate custom images and insert them directly into their documents. The updates to Pages, Numbers, and Keynote are now available on the App Store, but require the latest iOS/iPadOS 18.2 and macOS 15.2 updates, as well as a device with Apple Intelligence support.

Overall, these updates enhance the functionality of Apple’s iWork suite and provide users with new tools for productivity and creativity.
