Apple explains why it will not make major iOS policy changes outside of the EU

Apple is implementing significant changes to iOS 17.4 for iPhone and iPad users in the European Union. These changes are a result of compliance with the Digital Markets Act (DMA) regulatory policy enforced by EU regulators.

Although the changes are specific to the EU, Apple has the option to implement them globally.
