Amidst all the excitement surrounding Apple Intelligence in the latest iOS/iPadOS 18 and macOS Sequoia updates, it’s important not to overlook the software updates being released for other Apple devices such as the Apple TV, Apple Watch, and Vision Pro.

While these devices may not be incorporating AI technology at the moment, they have received new updates today in the form of tvOS 18.2, watchOS 11.2, and visionOS 2.2, each offering some valuable enhancements.

What’s new in tvOS 18.2

The Apple TV receives an update that introduces the long-awaited Snoopy screensavers. Apple showcased these during the June Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), but they were missing when tvOS 18.0 was released. However, they have now made their debut in tvOS 18.2.

The new screensaver features animated clips of Snoopy and Woodstock engaging in various activities, eventually transitioning to Snoopy sleeping on his doghouse. This screensaver is exclusive to the 2021 Apple TV 4K and later models.

What’s New in watchOS 11.2

The watchOS 11.2 update may be less flashy, but it introduces two new features that can be beneficial for videography and fitness enthusiasts.

One of the key additions is the ability for the Camera Remote app to pause recording of iPhone video, providing more flexibility when capturing footage. Additionally, watchOS 11.2 introduces a new set of “All Rings Closed” awards for achieving milestones in closing all three activity rings.

These retroactive awards commemorate the total number of times you’ve closed all your rings, starting from 100 and increasing in increments as you reach higher milestones. This update encourages users to stay active and close their rings regularly.
