'Animal Company' Becomes 5th Highest-grossing Quest Game, Peaking at 500K Daily Active Users

Wooster Games, the team behind the popular VR game Animal Company, recently announced that the game has reached over one million monthly active users, solidifying its position as a rising star in the social VR world. In just a year, Animal Company has become the fifth highest-grossing game on the Quest platform.

Launched in early access on Quest last July, Animal Company combines the arm-powered locomotion of Gorilla Tag with the game loop of Lethal Company, creating a unique blend of horror, mystery, and social interaction that has captivated players.

The game has been a consistent contender for the top spot on Quest’s highest-earning game chart, competing against popular titles like Yeeps 2.0, Beat Saber, and Gorilla Tag.

In a recent interview, Wooster Games revealed that monetization was introduced three months after launch, once strong engagement metrics were established.

With 100 minutes of average daily playtime, 45% 28-day retention, and 1 billion TikTok views, Animal Company has built a dedicated user base that continues to propel its success.

The game has seen a remarkable “9x paying user growth in 6 months,” making it one of the top-grossing titles on Quest.

During its peak period from Christmas to March 2025, Animal Company saw a significant increase in daily active users on Quest, reaching 500,000 DAU.
