If you are encountering difficulties while shopping on Amazon or accessing your playlists on Amazon Music, you are not alone. Downdetector indicates a significant increase in reports of issues with checkout, search, and login. The problem appears to be impacting both the website and the mobile apps.
Several members of The Verge team have also faced challenges. Clicking on various products leads to a “sorry, something went wrong” message, and even when pages do load, pricing information is not displayed. Users have mentioned being logged out repeatedly when trying to complete a purchase or view their cart. Even the functioning parts of Amazon.com seem to be loading slowly.
Amazon has acknowledged that some customers are experiencing difficulties in a statement on X. Spokesperson Jennie Bryant reiterated this in a comment to The Verge, stating, “We apologize for any inconvenience that customers may be experiencing while shopping. We thank customers for their patience as we address the issue.”
The company has been facing AWS disruptions in Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates due to drone attacks by the Iranian military, but there have been no reports of broader outages in the US or other regions.
