Destiny 2 players can now access all expansions for free, including the base game. This means you can catch up on any missed campaigns and play the latest three Episodes. Bungie is aiming to entice players back before the launch of The Edge of Fate, a new story set on the planetoid of Kepler.
The Edge of Fate will introduce Kepler, a destination inspired by Destiny 2’s dungeons and designed for deep exploration and discovery. Players can expect new enemies, weapons, gear, and destination-specific abilities to uncover its secrets.
One of Kepler’s key features is dark matter energy, which powers unique abilities for Guardians. The Matterspark ability allows players to change forms by binding to dark matter, enabling them to navigate terrain and unleash destruction. Other abilities include the Relocator Cannon and Mattermorph, offering new ways to interact with the environment.
Alongside The Edge of Fate, significant changes are coming to Destiny 2, including updates to UI, armor, vendors, infusion, currencies, and a reset of power levels back to Destiny’s starting point. A new Raid will also launch on July 19th, featuring a challenging contest mode for experienced fireteams.
