Paradox Interactive has just released the second expansion pack for Age of Wonders 4 today, featuring Herald of Glory as the first DLC in the pass. This new content introduces new items and a society trait that allows players to conquer the Astral Sea in a regal manner. Three more DLC packs are in the works for this expansion pass.
The next DLC in the lineup for Age of Wonders 4 is called Ways of War. Players can expect to delve into the Oathsworn culture, where they can swear different oaths such as the Oath of Righteousness for battling evil, the Oath of Strife for challenging the most powerful, and the Oath of Harmony for a peaceful existence. Intriguing events involving assassinations and betrayals will also be part of the package. Additionally, new forms like the Simians and Ogrekins, along with four Tomes focusing on discipline, shade, calamity, and prosperity, will be introduced. Ways of War is set to be released on November 5th.
Looking ahead to 2025, players can anticipate the release of Giant Kings and Archon Prophecy as the final two DLCs in the expansion pass. Giant Kings will showcase a new Giant ruler and feature new items inspired by ancient traffic and crystal-based magic from a fallen empire. Archon Prophecy, the concluding pack in the pass, will bring a new culture, prophecies, and story to the game. The expansion pass is priced at $49.99/£41.99/€49.99, but each DLC pack can also be purchased separately. Ways of War will cost $14.99/£12.79/€14.99, while Giant Kings and Archon Prophecy will be available individually for $19.99/£16.99/€19.99.
