A PS1 kei truck, jungle beats, and an eery vibe combine to make Easy Delivery Co., a game where there's "definitely no secrets"

When it comes to video games, there’s one thing that always catches my attention: driving around in a kei truck. It’s a unique feature that instantly draws me in, and there are only a few games that offer this experience. From the charming Promise Mascot Agency to the upcoming Honcho from the creators of Landlord’s Super and Jalopy, I can’t resist a game with a kei truck. And now, Easy Delivery Co. joins the list, offering a new twist on the classic kei truck experience.

In Easy Delivery Co., players take on the role of a cat character with an indie PS1 aesthetic, driving a kei truck through a snowy mountainside town to make deliveries. The game perfectly captures a sense of dreariness and loneliness with a touch of goofiness, making it a unique and intriguing experience.

The game’s Steam page promises “definitely no secrets,” although I have a feeling there may be more to discover. With a soundtrack featuring lo-fi, drum ‘n’ bass, and jungle tracks, Easy Delivery Co. exudes a late ’90s, early 2000s arcade racer vibe. Plus, the addition of a four-player split-screen co-op racing mode adds even more excitement to the mix. This game is meant to be played on a CRT monitor, and I can’t wait to dive into it.

Developer Sam C draws inspiration from games like Animal Crossing and The Long Dark, creating a unique blend that piques my curiosity. While Easy Delivery Co. doesn’t have a set release date yet, it’s definitely on my radar for later this year. In the meantime, I’ve added it to my Steam wishlist and plan to check out the demo.
