A fully electric Chrysler Pacifica is in the works

Chrysler is currently in the works of developing a fully electric version of the Chrysler Pacifica minivan, as reported by Green Car Reports. This electric vehicle iteration is expected to be released following the introduction of a refreshed Pacifica design that incorporates elements from the Halcyon concept showcased by Stellantis earlier this year.

The current Pacifica lineup consists of a traditional gas-powered minivan and a plug-in hybrid model with an electric-only driving range of approximately 32 miles before transitioning to gas. During the LA Auto Show, Chrysler CEO Christine Feuell confirmed these plans to Green Car Reports but did not disclose whether the plug-in hybrid will continue alongside the all-electric model.

In order to accommodate Stellantis’ BEV powertrain, Chrysler will need to make adjustments to the Pacifica’s signature “Stow ‘N Go” seating system, which allows for seats to be folded down for a flat loading floor. Feuell mentioned that one potential solution involves storing the second-row seats beneath the front seats, while another idea entails placing the second-row outboard seats on rails for lateral movement.
