JBL’s new party lights wirelessly sync to its glowing speakers

JBL has recently introduced two new accessories for its PartyBox series of LED-enhanced Bluetooth speakers: the PartyLight Stick and the PartyLight Beam. The PartyLight Stick resembles a glowing animated lightsaber, while the PartyLight Beam is designed to project a light show on walls or ceilings.

Priced at $99.95 and $149.95 respectively, both the PartyLight Stick and the PartyLight Beam can operate independently as lights. Users have the flexibility to adjust the intensity, speed, and motion of each light to suit the ambiance of any party through a mobile app. Additionally, these accessories come equipped with built-in microphones that sync their animated light displays to the music playing in the surroundings.

When wirelessly connected to a JBL PartyBox speaker, the capabilities of both lights are enhanced. The glowing animations on the PartyLight Stick and Beam synchronize with the LEDs in the speakers, creating a harmonious visual experience that complements the music being streamed. This synchronization is made possible through Bluetooth Auracast, a feature that can transmit a Bluetooth signal to multiple devices simultaneously. Consequently, multiple PartyLight Sticks and Beams can be synchronized to illuminate larger spaces effectively.

The PartyLight Stick features 183 RGB LEDs and boasts a rechargeable battery that provides up to eight hours of operation. Its IPX4 splashproof rating allows for outdoor use, even in moist conditions or near water bodies. On the other hand, the PartyLight Beam combines three RGB LEDs with four white LEDs and requires a direct connection to a power outlet. While this limits its positioning options, the adjustable angle of light projection enables placement near walls for optimal effect. It’s important to note that JBL has not specified an IP rating for the Beam, so precautions should be taken to protect it from adverse weather conditions and moisture.

Both the JBL PartyLight Stick and PartyLight Beam are now available for purchase in both North America and Europe.
