Exciting VR gaming experiences are on the horizon for 2024, with some highly anticipated titles set to make their debut.
These upcoming VR games are designed to be compatible with all major VR headsets, except for one exclusive to the Quest 3. Scheduled for release later this year, here are some of the most anticipated VR games of 2024:
Aces of Thunder (PSVR 2, PC VR)
Gaijin Games, the creators of War Thunder (2012), are bringing Aces of Thunder to life. This WWII combat airplane game will feature 15 maps representing the Western, Eastern, and Pacific Fronts. Players can expect realistic flight and damage models for intense and authentic dogfights.
While the exact release date is still pending, Aces of Thunder is expected to launch in Q4 2024 on Steam and PSVR 2.
Alien: Rogue Incursion (Quest 3, PSVR 2, PC VR)
Prepare to face a swarm of Xenomorphs in Alien: Rogue Incursion. This game by Survios offers players motion-tracking radar and a variety of weapons, including a pulse rifle, revolver, and pump shotgun, to fend off the aliens.
Look out for the release of Alien: Rogue Incursion around Holiday 2024, available on PSVR 2, PC VR, and Meta Quest 3.
Batman: Arkham Shadow (Quest 3)
Batman: Arkham Shadow is set to be the first full-fledged Batman game for VR. Developed by Camouflaj, known for Iron Man VR, this game promises exploration, stealth, and combat in Gotham City. Players can utilize Batman’s Grappling Gun, Batarang, smoke bombs, and glide with the cape.
Expect the exclusive release of Batman: Arkham Shadow on Quest 3 in Fall 2024.
Hitman 3 VR Reloaded (Quest 3)
IO Interactive and XR Games are collaborating on Hitman 3 VR Reloaded for Quest 3. This version is rebuilt from scratch for VR, offering an enhanced experience compared to previous versions.
While the specific launch date is unknown, Hitman 3 VR Reloaded is expected to arrive in Summer 2024. Stay tuned for updates on the Horizon Store for Quest 3.
Metro Awakening (Quest, PSVR 2, PC VR)

Zombie Army VR (Quest, PSVR 2, PC VR)
Rebellion introduces the first VR game in the Zombie Army series, where players join the Deadhunters in hunting down zombie war criminals. This co-op campaign is set during the events of the Zombie Army series.
Developed in collaboration with XR Games, Zombie Army VR is expected to launch this year on PC VR, PSVR 2, and Quest 2/3/Pro.
