The terrifying Pennywise, the demonic clown from Stephen King’s novel, made his debut on the big screen in 1990 in the film “It.” Nearly two decades later, a new generation was introduced to the creature through the remake “It” (2017) and its sequel “It Chapter Two” (2019). Both films were highly successful, leading HBO to develop a prequel series titled “Welcome to Derry.”
Jason Fuchs, one of the co-showrunners of the series, announced the completion of filming in early August 2024. A sneak peek of the upcoming horror show can be seen in a recently released clip.
