The official artwork for SNK vs. Capcom: SVC Chaos has undergone alterations for western audiences, with changes made to the depiction of Mai Shiranui and Princess Athena.
Observant fans noticed the discrepancies in the artwork featured in the recent trailers on SNK’s official YouTube channel. A comparison between the English and Japanese trailers reveals noticeable differences (around the 1:30 mark).

While the adjustment to Princess Athena’s image is simply a matter of cropping, it appears that SNK opted to modify Mai’s portrayal to align with western standards of modesty. It remains unclear if any in-game content has also been altered aside from the promotional artwork.
SNK vs. Capcom: SVC Chaos is currently accessible on Windows PC via Steam and is set to launch on GOG, Switch, and PS4 on July 22nd.
Initially released in 2003 by Playmore (now SNK), SNK vs. Capcom: SVC Chaos was subsequently adapted for Neo Geo arcade and home systems. Following this, it was ported to PS2 and Xbox, although only the Xbox version saw a release in North America.
