The upcoming Deadpool movie is set to hit theaters next week, and Marvel has unveiled a quirky new trailer. Along with the usual mix of zany humor and sharp one-liners, the trailer introduces Lady Deadpool and Cowboy Deadpool, alternate versions of the Merc with a Mouth.
It seems that Wade Wilson will be entering the Marvel universe alongside a host of other comic book characters. The previous teaser featured Sabretooth, the iconic foe of Wolverine.
Originally a part of the X-Men universe under 20th Century Fox, Deadpool transitioned to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) after The Walt Disney Company acquired the studio in 2019. Mutants were introduced in both Ms. Marvel and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, integrating Deadpool into the MCU.
But what does this mean for the third installment of Deadpool’s adventures, and when can we expect to see Wade Wilson back on the big screen? All the details are outlined below.

Deadpool 3 plot
The first teaser hints at the Time Variance Authority (TVA) playing a crucial role in the new film. Familiar to fans of the Loki series, the TVA is set to intersect with Deadpool’s storyline.
Deadpool seizes the opportunity to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe and expresses interest in teaming up with the Avengers. The trailers suggest that Deadpool will encounter Wolverine in a different dimension to address significant TVA-related challenges.
Expect the film to feature Sabretooth, the psychopathic mutant who is Wolverine’s long-standing nemesis. Additionally, alternate variants of Deadpool, including Lady Deadpool and Cowboy Deadpool, are set to appear, although their alliance with Wade Wilson remains uncertain.
Deadpool 3 cast
Ryan Reynolds will reprise his role as Deadpool, while Hugh Jackman is confirmed to play Wolverine, as announced by the actors themselves.
Returning cast members may include Leslie Uggams as Blind Al, Karan Soni as Dopinder, Morena Baccarin as Vanessa, Stefan Kapicic as Colossus, Brianna Hildebrand as Negasonic Teenage Warhead, Shioli Kutsuna as Yukio, and Rob Delaney as Peter.
Notably, Zazie Beetz as Domino and Josh Brolin as Cable will not be part of the new film. Emma Corrin is set to portray Cassandra Nova, a mutant villain, while Matthew MacFadyen will appear as the TVA agent Paradox.
Excitingly, Jennifer Garner will reprise her role as Elektra Natchios in Deadpool 3. There are also rumors of Halle Berry as Storm, Tyler Mane as Sabretooth, Channing Tatum as Gambit, and Daniel Radcliffe as another variant of Wolverine.
Although there were initial speculations of Taylor Swift’s involvement in the film, these rumors have been debunked by Entertainment Weekly.
