Black Myth: Wukong is a visually stunning game that has generated a lot of excitement with its impressive trailers. I had the opportunity to play it at Summer Game Fest this year, and it did not disappoint. The game, inspired by the Chinese folk story Journey to the West, puts you in the shoes of a monkey hero armed with a magical bo-staff and powerful spells.
During my demo, I was impressed by how smoothly the game ran on a high-spec PC, showcasing the power of Unreal Engine 5. The gameplay was engaging, with a mix of combat styles and magical abilities to master. I battled through various enemies, including a giant wolf creature, and even had the chance to transform into some of the monsters I encountered.
The combat system in Black Myth: Wukong requires strategy and skill, with different attack options and defensive maneuvers to keep in mind. As you progress, you can unlock new skills and abilities to customize your playstyle. The game’s graphics are top-notch, with detailed environments and unique monster designs adding to the immersive experience.
Overall, Black Myth: Wukong promises to be a challenging and visually stunning game that will captivate players. I can’t wait to see what other surprises the game has in store when it launches on PC and PS5 on August 20, 2024.
