NIS America has confirmed that The Legend of Heroes: Trails through Daybreak II, the latest installment in the beloved JRPG series, will be making its way to Western audiences in early 2025. The game will be available on Windows PC (via Steam, GOG, and the Epic Games Store), Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5.

Following the defeat of the criminal organization Almata, the people of Calvard have enjoyed a period of peace. However, a series of mysterious murders linked to a crimson beast shatters this peace and sets events in motion once more. As different factions scramble to uncover the truth or exploit the chaos for their gain, the spriggan Van Arkride embarks on his own investigation. Who is behind the killings, and what is their motive? Old and new faces unite in this thrilling sequel to the Trails through Daybreak saga.
STORY
In the year 1209 of the Septian Calendar, the threat of Almata has subsided, allowing Calvard to enjoy a period of tranquility. However, a CID special forces unit is brutally attacked by an unknown assailant, leading to a surge in criminal activities. Meanwhile, Van Arkride, a spriggan, is drawn into the mystery following an unexpected visitor’s arrival. The search for the truth intertwines with Agnès’ quest for the eighth Genesis, setting the stage for an inevitable confrontation.
