AIRROBO T20+ Review – 2 in 1 Robot Vacuum and Mop with Self Emptying

AIRROBO T20 Review scaled

I recently had the opportunity to test the Airrobo T10+, a robot vacuum that I found to be exceptional. It was the most budget-friendly option with an auto-empty station at the time, and I have been using it as my primary robot vacuum for the past two years.

Now, Airrobo has released its successor, the T20+, which is a slight upgrade from its predecessor and remains one of the most affordable choices available.

The T20+ boasts improvements in cleaning a larger room of approximately 200㎡ and can go up to 60 days without requiring manual cleaning, according to Airrobo. However, upon examining the specifications, I am unsure how these claims are achievable. The T20+ has a smaller battery and the same dustbin capacity on the station. The only notable difference is the larger dust capacity on the vacuum itself, with a significant increase in water capacity.

Airrobo also mentions an updated design with a floating brush to enhance cleaning along edges and corners.

In terms of unboxing, the T20+ design remains mostly unchanged from the previous model. The aesthetic differences are subtle, with the robot now sporting a matte black finish instead of a glossy one, and the base station exhibiting slight modifications.

Some minor criticisms I observed include the absence of a base plate for the empty station, leading to occasional misalignment issues, and the brush getting easily clogged with hair, resulting in damage.

The Airrobo app, used with the T20+, offers various customization options for cleaning schedules, including setting frequencies, cleaning settings, and defining specific areas to clean or avoid. Mapping with LiDAR technology and Airrobo’s USLAM Air 5.0 algorithm worked efficiently, creating accurate room maps and preventing the vacuum from getting stuck.

The T20+ delivers impressive vacuuming performance with a maximum suction power of 2600Pa and automatic suction adjustment for carpets. Mopping performance is decent, with the robot having a water tank capacity of 350ml and the ability to control when to mop.

The standout feature of the T20+ is its self-emptying station with a 3.4L dust bag, capable of holding debris for up to 60 days. The battery life is commendable, allowing for a standard run time of 150 minutes on standard settings.

Priced at $300 in the US, the Airrobo T20+ offers exceptional value for an affordable robot vacuum with a self-empty station. Overall, it is a solid choice for users seeking an efficient and budget-friendly cleaning solution.
