While Ubisoft has not confirmed the exact games or projects that will be featured during the showcase, speculation is already buzzing about a potential new Ghost Recon title. However, the company has stopped short of promising a game reveal, so fans can expect a broader anniversary celebration until further details are unveiled.
The upcoming event comes on the heels of a recent message from Ubisoft acknowledging the heightened activity surrounding the Ghost Recon series. The publisher teased that more information would be shared as part of the anniversary festivities.
Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon made its debut on PC back in November 2001, developed by Red Storm Entertainment and laying the foundation for the franchise’s emphasis on squad-based tactical combat and military operations.
Over the years, the Ghost Recon series has evolved through titles like Advanced Warfighter, Future Soldier, Wildlands, and Breakpoint. The most recent mainline release, Ghost Recon Breakpoint, launched in October 2019, taking the franchise into another expansive open-world setting.
The August showcase represents Ubisoft’s first major opportunity in several years to shed light on the future direction of the Ghost Recon franchise. The presentation is scheduled to kick off at 9:00 AM PDT, 12:00 PM EDT, and 6:00 PM CEST.
