Gemini App Testing New Device Help Feature
Telegram user Brokenthrone has shared materials with Android Authority showing a new experimental Device Help feature that’s seemingly being constructed within the Gemini app.
The idea behind this feature is to make it easier for users to troubleshoot issues with their phones. Instead of navigating through the Settings menu, users can simply tell Gemini what’s wrong with their phone in natural language, and it will suggest a fix.
For example, a Pixel user can tell Gemini, “My screen is too yellow”, prompting Gemini to analyze the device’s settings and suggest that the Night Light feature may be the cause.
The key innovation here is that Gemini can access the user’s Settings directly, providing personalized advice rather than generic suggestions.
This feature is currently in the testing phase under the Labs label, indicating that it is still under development. However, it shows promise as a potentially useful tool for Pixel users.
With Google Assistant being phased out soon, Gemini is poised to offer a more integrated experience for Pixel users.
