Exciting Crossover Episodes Announced for Detective Conan and Star Detective Precure!
Detective Conan and Star Detective Precure! announced their crossover episodes on Sunday.
Episode 18 of Star Detective Precure! will feature characters from Detective Conan and airs on May 31. In the episode, an art piece is stolen and Anna and Mikuru set out to find the criminal.
Coincidentally, Conan Edogawa, Ran Mouri and Kogoro Mouri meets the duo as they happen to visit Makoto Mirai Town. They track down the Phantom Thieves together.
Detective Conan’s crossover episode airs on June 6 and will feature Cure Answer. In the episode, a string of jewel robberies happen in Beika Town. Ayumi is excited because it reminds her of a plot in the Precure anime that she loves, and she thinks that if the thieves appear she will be able to meet a Precure.
The thieves’ next target is rumored to be a jewelry store, so Conan and the The Junior Detective League” are assigned to guard the store. They manage to capture the thieves, but then Ayumi suddenly feels uneasy…
While crossovers are nothing new in either series, this marks the first time these two particular series meet on screen.
Detective Conan has 30 years of history and has collaborated with various other series including: Lupin The 3rd, Yattaman, Yaiba, and Hanyo no Yasha Hime. Wakana Yamazaki, the voice actress for Ran Mouri, passed away recently.
Precure, too, has collaborated with Crayon Shin-Chan, Dragon Ball, and Kamen Rider in the past.
