Made in Abyss: Awakening Mystery Movie Trailer Released
The adventure fantasy Made in Abyss has unveiled its second official trailer for the upcoming movie!
Titled Mezameru Shinpi (Awakening Mystery), this movie will kick off a new series and is scheduled to debut on October 23, 2026.
The anime will be directed by Masayuki Kojima, who previously worked on projects like Black Bullet and Tibetan Dog, at Kinema Citrus. Voice actors such as Mariya Ise, Miyu Tomita, Shiori Izawa, and Misaki Kuno will be reprising their roles. The talented Kevin Penkin will also return to compose the music.
Based on Akihito Tsukushi’s manga, Made in Abyss follows the journey of adventurers exploring the mysterious pit known as the “Abyss.” Filled with strange creatures and ancient artifacts, the Abyss presents both marvels and dangers.
Follow Riko, a young girl aspiring to be a Cave Raider like her mother, as she delves into the secrets of the Abyss.
The movie will pick up where Season 2 left off, as the party continues their exploration into the seventh layer after recruiting Faputa in the sixth layer. Fans have eagerly awaited this continuation of the Abyss saga since the conclusion of Season 2.
