Apple has been busy this March with a flurry of announcements and product launches. After introducing eight new products and setting a Mac launch record, the focus now shifts to the long-awaited release of Personal Intelligence for Siri and Apple Intelligence.
Apple’s long road to a ‘more personalized’ Siri
Apple initially unveiled Apple Intelligence during WWDC 2024 on June 10, 2024, as part of iOS 18. While most features were rolled out in subsequent updates, Personal Intelligence and other promised enhancements were delayed.
One year ago, on March 7, 2025, Apple officially announced the delay of the “more personalized” Siri, citing the need for more time to deliver on the features as originally intended.
Fast forward to January 12, 2026, when Apple and Google revealed a collaboration to enhance Siri and Apple Intelligence using Google’s Gemini models and cloud technology. This partnership aims to bring a more personalized Siri experience to users.
While iOS 26.4 was expected to introduce Gemini-powered enhancements, the new Siri features were not included. Reports suggest that Apple is now targeting iOS 26.5 and iOS 27 for the rollout of these features.
There’s still time to believe in Siri with Personal Intelligence in March
Apple’s timeline for releasing iOS updates hints at a possible release of Gemini-powered features for Siri and Apple Intelligence soon. The optimistic outlook points towards a March arrival, with iOS 26.5 potentially showcasing these new capabilities.
