The Sims 4: Royalty & Legacy Expansion Leak
The latest expansion pack for The Sims 4, titled Royalty & Legacy, has been leaked by the South Korean ratings board. This 21st expansion pack will allow players to become nobles and build dynasties within the game.
Set to launch in February 2026, Royalty & Legacy may be the final expansion for The Sims 4 as EA shifts focus to their upcoming Sims game, The Sims Project X.
The Sims Project X is reported to be a standalone game, while EA is also developing The Sims Project Rene, a multiplayer edition.
Since its release in September 2014, The Sims 4 has been a popular title for EA and Maxis, with over 85 million players in its lifetime. The game transitioned to a free-to-play model in October 2022, attracting an additional 30 million players.
Notable features of the most recent expansion, Adventure Awaits, include the Getaway Planner for customizing trips and enhancing childhood gameplay.
Excitingly, The Sims franchise is expanding into cinema with a collaboration between Electronic Arts, LuckyChap Productions, and Vertigo Entertainment. Director Kate Herron, known for her work on Loki, will bring The Sims to the big screen.
The movie is expected to blend the game world with reality, following the success of similar adaptations like Barbie and The Lego Movie. Fans can anticipate references to in-game elements like the iconic green control jewel and humorous mishaps like disappearing ladders and deleted toilets.
