Clicks Takes Its iPhone Keyboard to the Next Level

When the first iPhone was introduced by Steve Jobs almost two decades ago, physical keyboards were criticized. However, many people still prefer the tactile sensation of pressing actual buttons over haptic feedback. Clicks recognized this gap and launched a keyboard case two years ago to cater to this audience. Now, they are back with two new and innovative sequels.

At the 2024 Consumer Electronics Show (CES), Clicks revealed the original Creator Keyboard, aiming to provide users of iPhone 14 and iPhone 15 with a reminiscent experience of classic BlackBerry devices. Despite the irony of Apple’s role in BlackBerry’s decline, Clicks believes that there is still a market for physical keyboards, especially for thumb-typists.

The Clicks Power Keyboard

The original Creator Keyboard faced challenges with compatibility and size as it was a case specific to each iPhone model, adding extra length to the device. The new Clicks Power Keyboard addresses these issues by being a MagSafe accessory, compatible with most iPhones. It includes a 2,150 mAh battery, with 500 mAh dedicated to powering the keyboard itself. The keyboard connects via Bluetooth, offering flexibility in orientation and device compatibility.

The Clicks Power Keyboard is designed to be compact, sliding in when not in use, resembling a typical battery pack. It can be paired with multiple devices via Bluetooth, making it versatile beyond just iPhones. The anticipated price for the Clicks Power Keyboard is $109, with a limited-time pre-order offer of $79.

The Clicks Communicator

The Clicks Communicator takes a bold step further by introducing a new mobile device reminiscent of the BlackBerry era. It is not merely an accessory but a purpose-built smartphone aimed at simplifying communication in a noisy world. Featuring Android 16, 5G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, wireless charging, and a physical keyboard, the Communicator offers a unique experience.

While the Communicator runs Android, it discourages excessive app usage with its compact four-inch screen. The hardware keyboard allows for touchpad-like gestures and includes a fingerprint sensor. It prioritizes communication features and includes a customizable LED signal light for notifications.

The Clicks Communicator is priced at $499, with a pre-launch discount available for early reservations. The device offers a blend of modern messaging apps and classic communication features, appealing to users seeking a balance between simplicity and functionality.

Communicator is to a smartphone what a Kindle is to an iPad. It’s a complementary product that stands on its own, optimized for a specific purpose. In the case of Clicks Communicator, that means communicating with confidence in a noisy world.
