A Second Closed Beta for Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls Announced

A second closed beta for Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls has been announced and it launches on December 5, 2025, at midnight Pacific Time. The beta will run until December 7 at 11:59 PM. Players will have the opportunity to battle both online and with CPU opponents on the 5th and 6th of December, with online battles only available on the 7th of December.

The second beta will introduce two new playable characters, Spider-Man and Ghost Rider, joining the original six characters: Iron Man, Doctor Doom, Ms. Marvel, Storm, Captain America, and Star-Lord. Additionally, two new stages, Savage Land and the X-Mansion, have been added for players to enjoy. The beta will also feature a communal space where players can spectate games.

Game Director and Lead Battle Designer, Kazuto Sekine, stated, “Based on feedback received from the previous closed beta, we’ve implemented numerous improvements, including balance adjustments, performance optimizations, visual enhancements, and user experience upgrades. More details will be shared as we get closer to the beta test.”

Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls is a tag fighter that is exploring a 4v4 system. Players can choose to use one fighter with three assists or swap through each character to experiment with their unique styles. The game is a collaboration between Sony, Marvel, and Arc System Works, known for their acclaimed fighting games such as Dragon Ball FighterZ and Guilty Gear Strive.
