Siri Shortcuts now works with Samsung SmartThings routines

Exciting news for Samsung SmartThings users – Siri Shortcuts support has been added in the latest update! This means you can now use Siri to control your smart home through SmartThings routines, thanks to Apple’s voice assistant integration.

For those unfamiliar, Siri Shortcuts in iOS allow for running automations through voice commands. Users can create their own shortcuts in the Shortcuts app, or utilize those provided by manufacturers like Samsung.

This update streamlines the smart home experience for iPhone, HomePod, and other Apple device users. Imagine waking up and having Siri initiate your customized “Good morning” routine on SmartThings – adjusting lights, starting your coffee maker, and opening blinds, all with a simple voice command.

Moreover, Samsung has improved the SmartThings app for Apple devices. With the Apple Watch integration, users can conveniently access and control their devices, execute commands, and manage routines. Additionally, the iOS SmartThings app offers the ability to monitor and operate up to five recently used devices directly from the lock screen using Live Activities.
