11 bit studios Announces First DLC for Frostpunk 2: “Fractured Utopias”
11 bit studios has revealed that Frostpunk 2 will receive its initial post-launch downloadable content next month.
The upcoming Frostpunk 2 DLC, titled “Fractured Utopias”, is scheduled to release on all supported platforms on December 8th.
Here’s a brief overview of the new content, along with a trailer:
The first DLC for Frostpunk 2 expands on the Utopia Builder mode, providing more structure, wider scope, and highlighting the significance of player decisions. New mechanics introduce bold ideological goals for each faction and ways to pursue them. However, the pursuit of a perfect society comes at a cost.
Each faction now envisions its own unique Utopia, organized into a tree and fueled by affinities. By gaining their trust, you’ll unlock specialized laws, buildings, and abilities that reinforce their individual identity. Unlocking all nodes of the Utopia Tree allows you to implement a singular vision on the city – binding your entire society to a specific path forward and resolving all tensions permanently.
While your city may not collapse, whose future will it serve?
Key Features:
- 8 unique faction Utopias, each with new systems, tools, and endgame
- 12 unique unlocks (laws / new HUBs / Abilities, etc.) per faction
- 8 new faction hubs (1 per faction)
- 8 new faction-specific variants of housing district
- Over 100 new narrative events
- 2 premium Tales: “Doomsayers” and “Plague”
- 1 new map
Frostpunk 2 is currently available on Windows PC (via Steam, GOG, and the Epic Games Store), Xbox Series X|S, PS5, and PC Game Pass from day one.
