Indie Developer Seed Lab Announces Release Date for Starsand Island
Seed Lab, an indie developer, has announced the release date for their upcoming cute life simulation game Starsand Island.
Starsand Island is scheduled to launch on February 1st, 2026, across Windows PC (via Steam and the Microsoft Store), Xbox Series X|S, and PS5. A playable demo will be available for PC/Steam users starting on October 8th.

The release date for the anime-inspired life simulation game was revealed at the Tokyo Game Show, where attendees got a preview of the gameplay. A closed alpha test will be conducted soon, inviting selected players to participate.
A demo for Starsand Island will be released before the Steam Next Fest, offering players a glimpse into the peaceful island life. The demo is set to launch on October 8th.
Players will get to experience farming, fishing, raising animals, exploring ancient ruins, and building connections with local characters on the island. The game also features a robust construction system for designing and building their dream home.
Customization options for the player’s character include facial features, skin tones, makeup, hairstyles, outfits, and accessories. Post-launch updates will expand on customization and introduce social and collaborative gameplay.
