Jane Goodall’s death triggered the premiere of Netflix’s new show

Netflix has been quietly working on a new show titled Famous Last Words for the past few years. This show features interviews with well-known individuals as they approach the end of their lives, with episodes set to air posthumously. While the full list of interviewees remains a closely guarded secret, Netflix recently released the premiere episode featuring Jane Goodall.

Based on the Danish series Det Sidste Ord (The Last Word), Famous Last Words on Netflix is hosted by Brad Falchuk, known for his work on American Horror Story and Glee. The interviews take place on an empty soundstage with remote cameras, creating an intimate atmosphere. Falchuk often poses questions in the past tense, reminding guests that they are no longer alive.

Judging from Goodall’s episode, viewers can anticipate candid and unfiltered opinions from these famous individuals. Goodall, known for her outspoken nature, held nothing back in what seems to be her final interview:

“There are certainly individuals I do not care for, and I would love to gather them all and send them off on one of Musk’s spacecraft to his supposed new planet… Musk would play host, accompanied by Trump… And I would include Putin and President Xi. Netanyahu and his extreme right-wing government would also join them. Let’s pack them all on that spaceship and send them away.” – Jane Goodall
