Exciting news from Resolution Games! The highly anticipated digital boardgame crossover, Demeo x Dungeons & Dragons: Battlemarked, now has a release date. Mark your calendars for November 20th when the game will be available on PC, PS5, PSVR 2, and Meta Quest 2 & 3. But the fun doesn’t stop there – a demo will be released on October 13th as part of Steam Next Fest.
Demeo x Dungeons & Dragons: Battlemarked, or DxD&D:B for short, combines the best of both worlds – the digital tabletop experience of Demeo with the beloved themes of Dungeons & Dragons. While the game offers more narrative and activities between quests, the main focus remains on exhilarating combat rather than expansive adventuring.
The gameplay trailer reveals exciting features such as skill tree upgrades for characters, the ability to pick up side quests at a tavern, and a D20-based dice system with simplified icons for easy reference.
During the demo period from October 13th to 20th, players can dive into two quests from the game’s first campaign and get a taste of the unique characters and their classes. Meet Bolthrax the dragonborn paladin, Tibby the halfling sorcerer, Jessix the human ranger, and Ash the tiefling rogue. The full game will also introduce Tharok the dwarven fighter and Lyria the elf bard.
Whether playing solo or with up to four friends, the demo allows you to confront a goblin ambush in Neverwinter Wood and investigate a Myconid colony where peaceful fungi have turned hostile.
Completing both demo quests will unlock special skins for the Battlemarked 20-sided dice in the full game.
Reflecting on the success of the original Demeo, which was a standout title during the PSVR 2 launch, it’s clear that the game’s immersive dungeon-crawling experience resonated with players. Whether in VR or on a traditional screen, Demeo offers a captivating gaming experience that is perfect for solo play or cooperative adventures with friends.
