Hollow Knight: Silksong's second patch is live in Steam beta, includes fix for bug caused by "dying to bosses while killing them"

The highly anticipated second patch for Hollow Knight: Silksong has arrived as the game prepares for its full release. Team Cherry has released the patch notes and initiated Steam beta testing, focusing on bug fixes rather than balancing tweaks this time around.

According to a post on Steam by the studio, “We’re getting close to finalizing the second post-release patch for Hollow Knight: Silksong. Where the first patch dealt mainly with critical issues, this next one focuses on a few still remaining, while also cleaning up some bugs around specific tools.” Players testing the beta branch can expect additional additions and tweaks before the full release.

Some of the key tweaks in this patch include:

  • Added Dithering effect option in Advanced video settings to reduce color banding.
  • Updated Herald’s Wish achievement description for clarity.
  • Fixed various bugs related to enemy behavior and game mechanics.
  • Improved overall game stability and performance.

One notable bug fix addresses Disgraced Chef Lugoli, who had a tendency to fly off screen and not return during battle. Additionally, issues with death sequences playing messily or out of sync have been resolved.

Looking ahead, players can expect a smoother gameplay experience with these bug fixes in place. As the Hollow Knight: Silksong community eagerly awaits the full release, Team Cherry continues to fine-tune the game for optimal performance.
